I undertook a final focus group to gather feedback from my target market on the printed outcome.
Sharing their likes and dislikes and whether they would buy it.
Thoughts on Cover:
-Captivating cover, that clearly tells us what style the magazine is and what content it could entail. The simple cover image is different from mainstream magazines, and makes them want to turn the page. The colours are eye-catching, and stand out from other magazines on the newsstand.
Thoughts on Layout:
- Layout kept simple, making it easier for them to navigate the pages and take in whats on each page. However, they wished for the font to be smaller. Although, they suggested the size does make it clearer to read.
Thoughts on Images:
-Target Market found the Villain editorial different and provides the magazine with a fashion forward element. The styling in these images are whimsical and inspiring. They also like the cover girl story, based on vintage 1950s style. Links well with the aesthetic of the magazine.
Thoughts on Articles:
-Found feminist topic on Alfred Hitchcock very intriguing and interesting. Also the interview was inspiring and the english is very easy to read and understand. It all reads well, and they found that the introduction was quirky, friendly, light-hearted and welcoming.
Thoughts on Overall Aesthetic of Printed Outcome:
-Overall, the target market suggested that the lightweight condition was perfect for travelling and makes its nicer to read than a heavy hardcover magazine.
-They think £3.99 is a reasonable price and they would be willing to spend that much to purchase it on a regular basis.
